QUESTION: Does your school administration consider the interests of its students? How about their struggles?
RESPONSES: "they think they are helping but they are just telling students with mental illnesses to “tell an adult” as if we havent heard it a million times and we really feel alone. teach us how to handle a situation w our friend, who came to us with TRUST, who doesnt wanna live anymore without just saying “tell an adult.” what happens when we become a bunch of adults with depression and suicidal tendencies? who can we talk to if theres no more authority figure who is looking out for your best interest all the time?"
"No, i had a struggle with rumors also with someone physically putting their hands on me, while the school knew, they never did anything and no one got any consequences."
"Lol no, the administration just wants to make the school system look better, i don’t feel like they truly care about individuals."
"No not really. My school tries to hide things that would hurt us emotionally and wouldn’t tell us something that would effect Us for the rest of our lives. They are REACTIVE not PROACTIVE."
QUESTION: Is your school's administration mindful and considerate of student athletes and academically excelling students?
RESPONSES: "our school praises student athletes and has no praise for people who aren't athletes and who are top of their class"
"No, they don’t even do anything for anyone who does well, they could not care what we get as long as we test well"
"Not really because they make the day start earlier and end earlier which means athletes have to perform on limited energy and by the time they get home and do homework they have no time for themselves as they are already getting insufficient amounts of sleep. They have no time to do it in between school and the sport either as the academy times do not allow for this. This is the same for academically excelling students who work hard and stay up late studying, and have to function on no sleep and not get the education they need. They are punished because of students who don’t care for their work who won’t use the academy time if they are able to do something else."
